AIMS FAQs
What is AIMS?
The Alabama Incident Management System (AIMS) allows and encourages ongoing, real-time
communication between health facilities(Hospitals, Nursing homes, Community health
centers, medical needs shelters, and EMS providers) and State Emergency Operations
Centers (EOCs), tracking staff, facilities and supplies in times of normalcy and
for distribution in times of stress.
Who uses AIMS?
AIMS is used by health facilities across the state(Hospitals, Community Health Centers,Nursing
Homes, EMS providers and Medical needs shelters) and EOC & EMA facilities.
I am a new user, how can I gain access to AIMS?
You can request a new account by filling out the registration form. To get to this
page, go to the login page and click on the “Create New Account” link.
I am a current AIMS user, I unfortunately forgot my password, how do I get it back?
You can request a password reminder out the password reminder form. To get to this
page, go to the login page and click on the “Password reminder” link.
What are the minimum system requirements for using AIMS on my machine?
Here are the minimum requirements for AIMS:
- A computer with an Internet connection.
- A web browser( Internet Explorer, Firefox, Opera, Netscape Navigator etc.). Please
make sure you have cookies enabled on your browser. You can find more information

Where can I get AIMS training?
The Center for Strategic Health Innovation offers training on AIMS through their
